Your website has one job: get a homeowner who found you on Google to call you or send their address. Most pool company websites fail at it because they hide the price, list every service on one page and take ten seconds to load on a phone. Here is a checklist.
The first screen
- What you do and where, in one line. "Weekly pool service in Pembroke Pines, Miramar and Weston." Not "Welcome to our website"
- A phone number you tap to call, at the top of every page
- One clear button: "Get a monthly price"
- A real photo of a clear pool you service, or your truck
Prices
- The monthly price for weekly service. "From $150 a month, chemicals included." Homeowners compare prices; the company that shows one gets the call
- A calculator where they pick the pool size and how often and see the per-visit and monthly price. See the pool service estimate calculator
- Prices for extras: filter cleaning, salt cell, green pool recovery, so the customer knows before they ask
Pages
- One page per service: weekly service, green pool recovery, filter cleaning, pump and equipment repair, one-time cleans. Each page targets the search people type
- One page per town you serve, with the day you service that town. It helps you show up in each place and keeps the calls inside your route
Trust
- Reviews, with a link to your Google profile
- Licensed and insured, said plainly, with your license number if your state issues one
- What weekly service includes, as a short list: brush, skim, vacuum, baskets, chemicals, equipment check
The form
Short. Name, phone, address, what they need. Every field you add loses people. Send each lead to your phone right away; a lead that waits until tonight goes to someone else. Ask for the pool size only if the calculator already asked; otherwise get it on the call.
Speed and phones
More than 70 percent of visits to a home service website come from phones. Your site should load in under 2 seconds on a phone, with no popups covering the number.
Languages
In South Florida, Texas and much of the country, many pool owners speak Spanish or Portuguese at home. A site in their language is rare in this trade and wins calls.
Example home page copy
Here is what the top of a home page can say for a fictional company. Use it as a starting point and put in your own towns and prices:
"Clear water, every Tuesday. Weekly pool service in Pembroke Pines, Miramar and Weston, chemicals included, from $150 a month. The same tech on the same day every week, a note after every visit and invoices you pay online. Green pool? We clear it in days. [Get a monthly price] (954) 555-0100"
Below that, three boxes: Weekly pool service, Green pool recovery, Pump and filter repair. Each one links to its own page with prices. Then reviews, then the towns you serve with the day you are in each one, then the form.
Each service page answers one question
A service page should answer what someone searching for that service wants to know: what you do, how long it takes, what it costs, and how to book. A green pool page answers "how much and how fast." A filter cleaning page answers "how often and how much." Add a short FAQ at the bottom of each page with the two or three questions customers ask you on the phone.
What to skip
- A long "about us" story on the home page
- Stock photos of resort pools
- "Call for a free quote" with no price anywhere
How PoolRoute builds it

Frequently asked questions
Should a pool company show prices on its website?
Yes. Showing a starting monthly price or a calculator gets more calls from the customers you want and fewer from people who were never going to pay your rate.
How much does a pool service website cost?
A custom design can cost $2,000 to $5,000 plus hosting. Website plans built for pool companies start at a few dozen dollars a month with the domain included.
