How the price is calculated
Weekly pool service is priced per visit from the pool size: a base price for the stop (drive, brush, skim, empty the baskets, test and add chemicals) plus a small amount per thousand gallons, because a bigger pool takes longer to vacuum and more chlorine to hold. Weekly accounts get the best per-visit price; every two weeks costs more per visit because the pool has more to catch up on. The calculator shows both numbers: per visit and per month.
In most of the US, weekly service with chemicals for a residential pool runs $120 to $220 a month. Screened pools, salt systems and small pools sit at the low end; big pools under trees, spas and pools with water features at the high end. How to estimate your pool's gallons
Multiply length x width x average depth (in feet) x 7.5 for a rectangle. For an oval or kidney pool, use length x width x average depth x 5.9. A 15 x 30 foot pool that goes from 3.5 to 6 feet holds about 16,000 gallons. Most backyard pools in Florida hold 12,000 to 20,000.
One-time jobs
Green pool recovery, deep cleans and pump or filter repairs are priced per job, not per month. A green pool usually takes two to four visits and a filter clean; the price depends on how green it is and the size.
For pool companies
The same calculator goes on your website with your own base price, rate per thousand gallons and extras, and your customers see your monthly price at 9 p.m. instead of calling three companies. Leads arrive with the pool size and the plan they picked.
